Specialty Dental Services partners with licensed, independent dentists to provide compassionate, high-quality dental care directly to residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Tennessee. Our on-site service model is designed to make essential oral healthcare more accessible, convenient, and comfortable for residents who may have difficulty traveling to traditional dental offices or attending appointments outside their community.

The independent dentists we contract with maintain full responsibility for all clinical evaluations, diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and dental procedures. Specialty Dental Services provides the administrative, scheduling, staffing, equipment, and logistical support necessary to help the dentists deliver dependable and efficient on-site care.

Available services include dental examinations, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, extractions, denture evaluations, denture repairs, replacement dentures, emergency visits, and other treatments recommended by the treating dentist. Each resident’s dental needs are evaluated individually, and treatment recommendations are based on the resident’s oral health, medical condition, comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

We work closely with nursing facility leadership, caregivers, responsible parties, and families to coordinate appointments, communicate treatment recommendations, obtain necessary documentation, and assist with follow-up care. Our team understands the unique needs of elderly residents, individuals with limited mobility, and those who may require additional assistance or accommodations during treatment.
